Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Senior Counsel to provide comprehensive, risk-informed legal guidance across full project lifecycles, including major reactor development contracts and procurement matters. The role involves negotiating complex agreements, advising internal clients, and managing external counsel while coordinating with global teams.

The position reports to the Assistant General Counsel, APx or Deputy General Counsel, OPx and is remote, with potential international travel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 5–10+ years of experience representing clients in complex industrial/construction/procurement contract negotiations or high-value major project litigation matters.
• Admission to practice in an appropriate US jurisdiction.
• Prior in-house experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to APX commercial operations teams, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and financing agreements and related legal advice.
• Advise on complex commercial agreements, teaming agreements and joint ventures, and engineering services agreements.
• Represent Westinghouse in commercial negotiations and disputes, including with utilities and vendors.
• Supervise and manage external counsel as appropriate.
• Train and advise management on legal issues, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
