ERMCO is seeking a Senior Counsel – Commercial & Regulatory to provide strategic legal guidance on complex commercial agreements and regulatory compliance. The role partners with senior leadership to balance risk with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

The position is remote within AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, MI, MA, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY, with relocation assistance available and opportunity to influence major grid modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant legal experience, with significant experience handling sophisticated commercial transactions.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Lead negotiations on high-value transactions with multiple stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate legal and business risks while providing practical advice.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Advise business teams through contract lifecycle from structuring to execution.
• Support strategic transactions and corporate initiatives as needed.
