Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead PPC software delivery for utility-scale PV, BESS, and hybrid projects. You will translate requirements into plant-control functions, coordinate with SCADA/EMS, and supervise testing and commissioning.

Remote role with up to 30% travel, reporting to the Director of Automations & Controls. 7+ years in power systems and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, computer science, power systems or related field.
7+ years in power systems, controls, automation, SCADA, renewables, or PPC support.
Hands-on commissioning for utility-scale PV/BESS/hybrid plants.
Knowledge of plant-level power control, voltage regulation, and grid-code requirements.
Experience with industrial control platforms and network diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end PPC software delivery for utility-scale PV, BESS, and hybrid projects.
Translate requirements into practical plant-control functions and configurations.
Coordinate PPC integration with SCADA, EMS/BMS, meters, and substations.
Lead validation, testing, commissioning, and witness testing.
Mentor teams and develop repeatable engineering standards.
