Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Contracts Director to join our growing legal team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel. You will structure, negotiate, and close sophisticated enterprise and strategic commercial agreements with the DigitalOcean sales team, focusing on AI services and cloud offerings.

You will build templates, playbooks, and risk management frameworks to enable a scalable go‑to‑market function while collaborating with GTM, Finance, Operations, and Product leadership to drive

Qualifications

• 10+ years of negotiation experience in technology.
• Proven ability to structure and close complex commercial agreements.
• Experience with AI, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS contracts.
• Ability to partner with GTM, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.
• Strong business judgment and risk translation.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate complex and innovative commercial arrangements for AI, PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and risk management frameworks for scalable operations.
• Support lifecycle management (Quote-to-Cash) with finance and sales.
• Lead or participate in strategic projects as needed.
