Job summary

Mcgrath Rent Corp is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee projects from pre-bid through closeout, owning scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and customer satisfaction. You will drive execution strategies, staffing, and subcontractor alignment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years construction-related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Extensive understanding of project and program management principles.
• Proven experience developing Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Experience in preconstruction activities and bid planning.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects across jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of subcontracted trades (civil, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage project P&L including forecasting and margins.
• Provide people leadership for PMs and Site Superintendents.
• Oversee multiple projects and teams, ensuring regional alignment.
• Serve as senior escalation point for scope, schedule, permitting, and budget.
• Lead pre-bid review of plans and risk identification.
• Collaborate with estimating and operations on pricing and bid strategy.
• Ensure safety requirements and OSHA compliance.
• Travel up to 50% to active job sites.
• Report project milestones and metrics to regional leadership.
