Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster with a focus on Construction Defect. The role supports fully remote work, with compensation up to $110,000 per year based on experience.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of claims experience, active licenses in applicable states, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position involves advanced analysis, settlement negotiation, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related claims experience, with a track record resolving complex issues at a senior adjuster level.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

• Independently conducts detailed analysis vital to investigating claims exposure and recommends settlement strategies.
• Create reservation of rights, coverage denial letters, negotiate and resolve settlements.
• Interact with parties involved in the claims process and may engage outside specialists.
• Handle claims consistent with client and corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely to support the claim file outcome.
• Coach, mentor, and may supervise lower-level adjusters.
