Job summary

Gallagher Bassett, part of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., seeks an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster specializing in Construction Defect to join a fully remote team in the United States.

You will investigate complex claims, determine settlements, and interact with clients to deliver effective risk management and outcomes. Responsibilities include detailed exposure analysis, drafting settlement strategies, and mentoring junior adjusters, while adhering to regulatory and client policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 7+ years related claims experience and proven track record to handle complex claims issues at a senior adjuster level.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis to investigate claims exposure and recommend settlement strategies.
• Create reservation of rights, coverage denial letters, negotiate settlements.
• Interact with parties involved in the claims process and potentially retain outside specialists.
• Handle claims per client and corporate policies within regulatory requirements.
• Document claim activity timely to support outcomes.
• Coach or supervise lower level adjusters.
