Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst - II to lead software configuration management and release engineering efforts for VA applications in a remote capacity.

The role requires deep CM expertise across Git, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and IaC tools, with a track record of delivering complex builds in regulated environments. U.S. citizenship, Public Trust clearance, and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience; substitutions allowed for education.
• Experience in configuration management and release engineering in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex software builds/releases across environments.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and migrate them to the cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software products.
• Perform CM and release tasks ensuring documentation, hardware alignment, and sustainability.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools for software modeling and development.
• Implement build procedures to support product development and usage.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and mentor junior analysts.
• Ensure compliant, repeatable build/deployment processes across projects.
