Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Data Scientist for its fully remote research division to build predictive ML models and derive actionable insights from vast datasets. You will work with a geographically dispersed team of researchers and engineers on challenging problems that impact scientific advancement.

The role requires 5+ years of ML-focused experience, strong Python/R skills, and proficiency with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MSc in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with ML focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
• Proven ability to build and deploy scalable ML models.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for complex scientific problems.
• Clean, process, and analyze large, diverse datasets to identify trends and patterns.
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate requirements into data science solutions.
• Develop and implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate model performance and impact.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
