Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Compliance Engineer role focuses on ensuring modular data center products meet NEC, NFPA, IFC, IBC, UL, CSA, ETL and related codes across North American sites, from tendering to factory build, testing and closeout.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in compliance engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and clear communication, with a desire to grow in certification programs and regulatory compliance.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey expertise to customers.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure state/provincial requirements are addressed for Modular Data Center designs.
• Evaluate designs for compliance with NEC, NFPA, IFC, IBC, UL, CSA, ETL, and other codes.
• Conduct assessments to ensure safety and industry standards compliance.
• Develop and implement safety and compliance programs with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate compliance into lifecycle stages.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and conduct trainings.
• Create and maintain compliance documentation and reports.
• Perform safety audits and develop corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with factory compliance to complete North American certifications.
