Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager, Commercial (EMEA), to manage a diverse portfolio of customer agreements and complex negotiations across regions. You will partner with sales and internal teams to move deals forward while protecting GitLab’s interests.

This hands-on role involves handling day-to-day contracting and contributing to strategic enterprise deals, reporting to the Director of Legal and helping improve playbooks and processes. Remote, global role.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a software/tech environment.
• Knowledge of tech-related agreements with licensing and regulatory considerations.
• Ability to balance business goals with legal risk using a practical approach.
• Clear explanation of contractual concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience across geographies/time zones with global contracting norms.
• Familiarity with contract tooling and openness to GitLab workflows.
• Interest in AI tools and practical use in legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of commercial agreements with varying complexity.
• Draft/review subscription, AI terms, regulatory annexes, services, NDAs.
• Negotiate terms with customer counterparts to advance deals.
• Collaborate with sales/ stakeholders to answer contracting questions.
• Assess risk and translate issues into practical options.
• Support sales enablement with guidance on terms.
• Maintain playbooks, templates, and documentation.
