Job summary

CCFBank is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to minimize losses and support customers through financial challenges. The role collaborates with the AVP of Mortgage Processing & Special Assets to manage delinquent and charged-off accounts and develop repayment solutions that benefit both the customer and the Bank.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping others succeed.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field; substitution possible with 2 years of related experience.
• 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
• 4 years of experience in collections or customer service.
• Experience with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, VA, USDA and SBA loan programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection and recovery for delinquent and charged-off accounts.
• Contact customers to discuss obligations and negotiate repayment plans.
• Assist with workouts, settlements, bankruptcies, repossessions and recovery activities.
• Collaborate with AVP and external agencies to support collection efforts.
• Research delinquent accounts and gather documentation for strategies.
• Maintain records of collection activities and interactions.
• Monitor portfolios to identify high-risk accounts and act accordingly.
• Develop and update department procedures and drive process improvements.
• Mentor Collections Specialists and other team members.
• Participate in projects and system updates.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
