Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to drive cloud initiatives as products move to AWS. You will partner with Development, Business and Platform teams to provide reliable, scalable cloud services and enhance automation across CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, observability, and secure deployments, with experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience, typically with 1+ years in an Associate level role or external equivalent.
• 70% Ops / 30% Development DevOps mix.
• Strong experience with containerization, Kubernetes, EKS, CI/CD pipelines using GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD).
• Experience with Git for version control, Azure DevOps preferred.
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch) and incident escalation.
• Implement best practices for configuring, tuning, securing APIs/microservices.
• Proficiency with HTTP concepts and protocols.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, AMIs, Elastic Beanstalk, Load Balancers).
• SQL proficient, RDS management, database hygiene.
• Experience with service mesh (Linkerd/Istio) is a plus.
• Cloud infrastructure management in AWS, high availability.
• Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) is a must.
• Strong network management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Azure DevOps for tickets, CI/CD, release management, and IaC.
• Flexible work hours.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Development, Business, and Platform teams as the point for products and underlying infrastructure on AWS.
• Work in Agile methodology using Scrum and Kanban boards.
• Enable development teams with cloud best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and reliable solutions.
• Improve observability end to end for cloud applications.
• Support on-prem apps and migrate to AWS Cloud.
• Lead strategic initiatives for seamless application integration and optimal performance in cloud-native environments.
• Other activities as assigned by manager.
