Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security Squad. You will fix vulnerabilities in the stack, build detections in Datadog Cloud SIEM, and own incident response from detection to remediation.

You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Sales, and Executives to protect customers and the business. Open to a globally distributed, remote team, with focus on AWS security best practices, PCI DSS, GDPR, and SOC 2 obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or 6+ years of practical security engineering experience.
• Strong AWS security experience including IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, KMS, and network controls.
• Hands-on detection engineering in a SIEM and incident response in cloud environments.
• Experience with application security fundamentals and CI/CD security integrations.
• Excellent written communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Find and fix vulnerabilities across the stack in repository and IaC.
• Build and tune detections in Datadog Cloud SIEM and map coverage to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Respond to security incidents, contain, and document RCA and remediation.
• Harden AWS estate with IAM least privilege, GuardDuty, KMS, and logging.
• Secure the delivery pipeline with SAST/DAST/IAST and secret scanning.
• Automate repetitive tasks and write runbooks and detection docs for audits.
