Job summary

Ankura is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to perform cloud security posture and configuration reviews, identifying misconfigurations and gaps. The role supports migrations and delivers prioritized recommendations aligned with standards. This is remote-based in the United States, with ~25% travel.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, Azure/AWS/M365 expertise, and CSPM tooling knowledge, plus strong executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Cloud Certificate (Azure /AWS/GCP) required
• Experience delivering cloud security assessments for Azure/AWS/M365; exposure to GCP/Oracle is a plus
• Experience configuring Microsoft Copilot and Purview is a plus
• Strong written communication with executive summaries and findings
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls in Azure/M365
• IAM patterns in Microsoft cloud environments (Entra ID, privileged access)
• Security governance and controls for cloud compliance and risk
• Experience with CSPM tools and workflows (Prisma Cloud, Zscaler)
• Familiarity with NIST/ISO/CIS mappings; willingness to travel ~25%
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cloud configuration and security posture reviews using CSPM approaches and automated scanning.
• Assess cloud configurations against requirements and map gaps to standards like NIST/ISO/CIS.
• Analyze results and deliver client-ready reports with prioritized remediation.
• Support reviews across core cloud security domains: IAM, network, logging, governance.
• Manage internal and third-party resources for projects.
• Collaborate with engagement leads to validate findings and align with operating models.
• Work with clients to support SOWs and engagement delivery.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and security to drive adoption of cloud controls.
