Job summary

Ankura is seeking a remote-based Cloud Security Architect to lead cloud posture reviews and remediation planning in the United States. You will assess configurations against NIST/ISO/CIS standards, deliver executive-ready reports, and drive security control adoption across client environments.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, cloud certifications, and hands-on Azure/AWS/M365 expertise. Travel about 25% is expected, with strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant cloud security experience.
• Cloud certification (Azure/AWS/GCP) required.
• Experience delivering cloud security assessments for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and/or AWS environments; GCP and Oracle Cloud is a plus.
• Experience configuring Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Purview is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills for executive summaries and detailed findings.
• Hands-on experience implementing, migrating, and operating security controls in cloud environments.
• Experience with identity and access management patterns in cloud environments.
• Experience with CSPM tools and remediation planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cloud configuration and security posture reviews using CSPM approaches and automated scanning methods.
• Assess cloud configurations against predefined requirements and map gaps to standards and regulatory expectations.
• Analyze results and deliver client-ready reports with prioritized remediation and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engagement leads and stakeholders to validate findings and ensure practicality.
• Support statements of work (SOWs) and engagement delivery.
• Work cross-functionally with IT, engineering, and security teams to drive adoption of controls.
