Job summary

MariaDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build robust cloud infrastructure for our globally deployed relational database engine. You will own end-to-end features from design to production, contributing to multi-cloud deployments and service orchestration.

Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern backend languages is essential. You will work in a remote US-based team and impact enterprise-grade AI-ready cloud services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
• Proven track record designing and operating multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform for IaC and cloud orchestration.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Experience building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one backend language (Go/Java/C++).
• Experience designing REST and/or gRPC APIs for external consumers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement application layers, business logic, and API workflows at the intersection of data management and cloud operations.
• Lead features from design to production with ownership and high code quality.
• Ensure robust deployment across multi-cloud environments; manage Terraform-based infrastructure.
