Job summary

MariaDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, high-ownership team building robust cloud infrastructure for our globally deployed relational database engine. You will design and implement the application layers, business logic, and API workflows across data management, cloud operations, and database services.

This hands-on, end-to-end role requires leading features from concept to production, writing clean, scalable code, and leveraging Terraform to ensure reproducible

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the application layers, business logic, and API workflows at the intersection of data management, cloud operations, and relational database services.
• Lead features from whiteboard to production: owning implementation, writing clean and scalable code, and leveraging cloud orchestration for robust deployment across multi-cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform for managing infrastructure as code and reproducible deployments.
