Qualifications

• 5+ years operating MariaDB/MySQL in high-volume production environments, including tuning, replication, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Scale and tune high-throughput MariaDB clusters to support global expansion.
• Strengthen high-availability, disaster-recovery, and backup approaches through sound design and validated procedures.
• Reduce manual work by building automation, improving process consistency, and enabling safe database workflows.
• Improve observability and alert quality by championing meaningful metrics and reducing noise.
• Enhance database security through robust access controls and disciplined patching/upgrades.
• Contribute to modern platform initiatives including containerized environments and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Partner with service teams to drive performance patterns and database hygiene across engineering.
