Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Engineer Principal with FinOps KION experience to design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud environments for federal and defense customers. You will work across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, implementing FinOps practices and IaC, while collaborating with security teams to achieve ATO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of experience preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Experience with FinOps KION.
• 3+ years in cloud engineering/architecture/infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI
• Familiar with DevSecOps pipelines and tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS).
• FinOps practices, cloud billing and governance across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute cloud migration and modernization with minimal disruption.
• Design scalable, secure cloud architectures meeting federal standards.
• Support multi-cloud and hybrid environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and on-prem.
• Develop cloud-native apps using containers and microservices.
• Create and manage IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Collaborate on Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
• Monitor performance, security, and availability of cloud resources.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for compliant delivery.
• Establish secure cloud foundations and governance across tenants.
