Job summary

SAIC is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer Principal with FinOps KION experience to join our Cloud Service Delivery team. You will design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud environments for federal and defense customers, across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, with cost-optimized FinOps practices.

Responsibilities include migrating legacy workloads, deploying IaC, and ensuring compliance and security in classified and unclassified environments while collaborating with security teams and enterprise

Responsibilities

Plan and execute cloud migration and modernization efforts, moving legacy workloads to cloud environments.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures across multi-cloud platforms.
Support multi-cloud and on-premises environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Collaborate with security teams to conduct Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
Provision, monitor, and manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security using tools like CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or Grafana.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines through DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows in classified and unclassified environments.
Establish Cloud Landing Zones and governance across accounts and tenants.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
Deliver cost-optimized cloud solutions and support end-to-end FinOps governance across platforms.
