Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AWS Solutions Engineer within the Civil IT division to design and implement cloud-based solutions across AWS/Azure/GCP. This role emphasizes troubleshooting, secure architecture, and continuous improvement in a federally regulated environment.

You will develop reusable cloud patterns using Infrastructure as Code, monitor governance and security stances, and collaborate to optimize costs and data analytics workloads. A public trust would be ideal.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information systems or relevant field; 4+ years practical experience or Master’s 2+ years.
Ability to obtain a public trust / interim approval.
Ability to self-manage tasks using M365 tools.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve issues with growth mindset.
Hands-on experience building multi-cloud networks with secure routing/firewalls.
Understanding regulatory controls in AWS (CIS, STIG).
Hands-on with CloudFormation, Terraform or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Design and implement reusable cloud patterns across AWS/Azure/GCP using IaC.
Monitor compliance and cyber postures with AWS Security Hub, CSPM, Config/CloudTrail.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AWS environments; document for knowledge sharing.
Diagnose network connectivity; manage security groups, route tables, VPCs, VPNs.
Manage FinOps: costs, budgets, anomalies, reporting.
Manage big data analytics platforms and data tiering.
