Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Quality Abstraction Manager to lead data synthesis, registry operations, and reporting across enterprise projects. This fully remote role requires coordinating with facility executives and service lines to drive performance improvements.

You will oversee data collection, ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, and guide a team of registry staff through complex state and federal reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
• 3 years in quality, abstraction, and registry with 1 year supervisory experience.
• 5 years orthopedic and/or trauma experience (OR, Med Surg, ER, ICU).
• Proficiency with software, data quality, data management, and presentation.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and accreditation standards for data abstraction and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and display complex clinical data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or similar for producing and presenting data.
• Knowledge of software/tools for abstraction, reporting, and analysis.
• Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Exposed to a normal office environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to provide clinical synthesis, distribution, and analysis of internal and comparative data.
• Collaborate with facility executives and service line leaders on improvement plans for enterprise-wide clinical performance.
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and submission standards for governing entities.
• Develop registry support services including compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate interoperability and validity processes, ensuring tools support efficient documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate management oversight of all assigned registries across the enterprise to ensure data integrity.
• Direct and execute multiple concurrent projects with limited supervision.
• Lead validation and inter-rater reliability audits within the registry.
