Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to drive complex clinical trial agreements and budgets from a remote position in the U.S., partnering with global stakeholders to accelerate study start-up, patient access, and overall trial efficiency.

You will negotiate Master Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements, lead budget discussions with investigational sites, and provide strategic support to ensure timely contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal, finance, science, or related field.
• 5+ years of contract management experience in clinical trials or pharmaceuticals.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex clinical trial agreements independently.
• Knowledge of U.S. privacy regulations and pharmaceutical industry rules.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute complex clinical trial agreements, including Master Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements.
• Develop and finalize clinical trial budgets aligned with fair market value.
• Lead budget negotiations with investigational sites to meet start-up goals.
• Support contract managers to keep study timelines on track.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical teams.
• Identify and communicate contract and budget risks to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with global and local teams to resolve contractual challenges.
• Analyze grant plans and proposals to ensure compliant financial decisions.
• Drive process improvements to shorten contracting cycles and reduce costs.
