Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of accounting experience required, preferably in professional services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ARCS Collections Software and Elite.
• High level of detail orientation and strong organizational skills.
• Strong financial, business, analytical and accounting acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; independent judgment.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts.
• Contact clients with overdue balances and negotiate payment plans.
• Document collection efforts and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as liaison between the firm and clients for billing and collections.
• Prepare monthly client statements and assist with promissory notes and settlements.
• Prepare bankruptcy claims and process unclaimed property where applicable.
• Generate reports on unpaid accounts and collection progress.
• Escalate issues to management with recommended resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with client guidelines and firm policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments on billing projects.
