Job Description

Personal Lines Casualty is hiring a Senior Claims Resolution Specialist to manage attorney-represented and litigated auto and homeowner's bodily injury claims. The role involves managing, investigating, and resolving claims, providing prompt and quality service to policyholders for claims of mild to moderate severity and complexity.

Location Preferences

  • Applicants preferred to reside in the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
  • Candidates within 50 miles of Chandler, AZ, must attend the office 2 days per month.

Training and Attendance

Training is essential for success, requiring reliable attendance and active engagement during training sessions.

Eligibility Restrictions

Excluded states include Alaska, California, Idaho, and Washington.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, investigate, and resolve claims, including evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and settling claims within authority limits.
  2. Identify suspicious claims and refer them to SIU; seek opportunities for third-party subrogation.
  3. Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences; report status to management.
  4. Collaborate with trial counsel and prepare reports.
  5. Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on actions.
  6. Respond to inquiries and provide status updates.
  7. Ensure reserves are adequate and recommend increases when necessary.
  8. Maintain the security of financial processing and sensitive claim information.
  9. Update files and generate reports as needed.
  10. Manage practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty.
  • At least 3 years of Litigation experience.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and investigative skills.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of legal liability, insurance policies, and State Tort Law.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of related work.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing.
