Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join a fully remote team, leading complex process design and execution from a home office. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and sustainability while mentoring colleagues across multiple time zones.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years in chemical engineering, strong leadership, and deep expertise in process simulation, P&IDs, and HAZOP analyses, enabling strategic direction and impactful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive chemical engineering experience in design, scale-up, and project management.
• Proven track record leading complex chemical engineering projects from concept to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of process simulation tools, P&ID s, HAZOP analysis, and safety management systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, vital for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of complex chemical processes and systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and economic evaluations for new projects and process modifications.
• Ensure all designs and procedures comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental legislation.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers across different time zones.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Optimize existing chemical processes for improved yield, reduced costs, and enhanced sustainability.
