Job summary

Zoic Studios is seeking a Senior Character Animator for a short-term, fully remote contract. You will collaborate with the Animation Director and Supervisor to craft hyper-realistic character performances for high-end film and television productions. Preference for candidates in the New York City area.

The role offers 100% remote work and pays $55.00 to $65.00 per hour, DOE. You will own shots from layout to final polish and refine mocap data within Maya in a fast-paced VFX pipeline.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in film/TV VFX animation.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, weight, and physical movement.
• Ability to work remotely with proactive communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Create photorealistic character animations for live-action projects.
• Own shots from layout through final polish, ensuring timing and performance.
• Collaborate with FX, Rigging, Layout and Lighting remotely to integrate assets.
• Process, edit, and refine motion capture data in Maya to achieve quality performances.
