Job summary

Little Zoo Studio is seeking a Senior Character Animator who lives and breathes performance. This remote role centers on hand-crafted, expressive animation for feature films and cinematic trailers, with direct collaboration to directors.

You will own high-end shots, translate a director’s brief into authentic performances, and mentor junior artists within a Maya-based pipeline. A global, crunch-free environment, dedicated home office setup, reliable internet, and professional English

Qualifications

• 100% Keyframe standard: no MoCap, lifelike motion built by hand.
• Feature Film Credit on a released animated feature or high-end VFX-heavy project.
• Maya expertise with Graph Editor workflows, custom scripts, hierarchies.
• Strong acting foundations; ability to film own reference and understand character choices.
• Professional remote setup: dedicated workspace, high-speed internet, time-zone management.

Responsibilities

• Own the most challenging character performance shots with deep emotional range.
• Ensure flawless body mechanics: weight, balance, arcs, timing; set a benchmark for others.
• Participate in Virtual Dailies; provide and receive feedback; mentor less experienced animators.
