Job summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager of Category Management for Core Equipment in St. Paul, MN. Lead end-to-end category plans, including assortment, pricing, promotions and supplier partnerships to drive revenue, margin, and market share.

You will synthesize syndicated and internal data, collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain, and guide the team to deliver measurable business outcomes while strengthening processes and capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8 years category management, sourcing, or procurement experience.
• 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, pricing, promotions, and assortment planning.
• Oversee sourcing, RFIs/RFPs, and supplier governance.
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle and rationalization decisions.
• Lead KPI-based performance reviews and analytics to improve sales and margin.
• Synthesize internal and syndicated data, customer insights, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and vendor partners to align category plans.
• Improve category management processes and scalability across the function.
• Develop team capabilities, recruiting and onboarding, and staff development.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
