Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to design and build high-performance data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems for AI research teams. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role offering 20–40 hours per week.

You will collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows at scale, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalable production-ready fixes.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade C++.
• Deep expertise in efficient binary serialization formats.
• Experienced implementing zero-copy data exchange protocols for high-speed pipelines.
• Native or fluent English speaker with clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems supporting large-scale AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing C++ codebases.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior, and implement scalable, production-ready fixes.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions.
