Alignerr Corp. is seeking a senior Systems Software Engineer to design and optimize high-performance C++ systems powering AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.

This fully remote, hourly contract role fits a seasoned engineer who thrives on production-grade, scalable infrastructure and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to annotation tooling, data validation, and model evaluation support, with 20–40 hours per week and a remote, flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C++ experience.
• Experience with ML frameworks frontends or inference runtimes.
• Proven ability to write performance-critical, production-grade C++ code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing C++ codebases used in production AI environments.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior, implementing scalable fixes.
• Participate in design reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions.
