Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Senior C++ Full-Stack Engineer to design and optimize high-performance tooling, data pipelines, and evaluation systems powering AI infrastructure. This remote contract role offers 20–40 hours per week and collaboration with research and engineering teams on production-grade systems.

You will embed scripting languages, profile bottlenecks, and help scale internal tools to support model training and evaluation workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade C++.
• Strong full-stack developer background with a deep systems programming foundation.
• Experience embedding scripting languages within C++ applications (Python, Lua) to build tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems supporting AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Profile and refactor existing C++ codebases to eliminate bottlenecks and improve reliability, performance, and safety.
• Embed scripting languages within C++ applications to create flexible, extensible internal tools.
• Identify edge cases and failure modes in complex data and system behavior and implement scalable fixes.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to align tooling with model training and evaluation needs.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews to iterate on system architecture and implementation decisions.
