Placements24 is seeking a Senior Buyer specialized in indirect services for a fully remote role based in South Africa. This position drives end-to-end procurement across IT, marketing, professional services, travel, and fleet management, with a focus on developing category strategies and leading negotiations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in procurement, strong contract and risk management skills, and the ability to manage supplier performance in a remote environment while delivering cost

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement with a strong specialization in indirect services sourcing.
• Proven experience developing and executing category strategies and leading complex negotiations.
• Demonstrated success driving cost savings and value through strategic sourcing.
• Expertise across indirect service categories (IT, professional services, travel, fleet, etc.).
• Strong understanding of contract law and contract management best practices.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities, suited for remote collaboration.
• Proficiency with e-sourcing tools, P2P systems, and advanced data analysis.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead remote initiatives.

• Manage and optimize supplier relationships for performance and value.

• Ensure procurement activities adhere to policies and regulations.
