Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for a fully remote role based in Norfolk, VA. The position focuses on support, enhancement and implementation of applications, coordinating with business users, IT and vendors to meet operational needs.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (or 6+ years of relevant experience), 4+ years of relevant work, advanced SQL, and experience with EDI-834. Knowledge of QNXT/Facets and member enrollment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or 6+ years of applicable experience).
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced SQL experience.
• Experience with EDI-834 files.
• Experience with Medicaid, commercial health plans, and marketplace coverage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business practices and design/apply enhancements.
• Serve as liaison to customers, IT staff and vendors to align functionality with operations.
• Develop detailed test cases, execute and share results with managers for approval.
• Work with developers to cost and time estimate fixes and enhancements.
• Perform longer term analysis and design of systems and hardware to maintain production environments.
