Job summary

Zillow Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software and services for Mortgage tech enablers. You will lead end-to-end development, drive design decisions, and collaborate with product and partner teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

You will mentor engineers and promote CI/CD, automation, and testability. You will contribute to high-quality, reliable systems while shaping engineering standards and driving performance and security

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and supporting production applications or services.
Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team-level technical decisions and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable software applications and services that align with business and user needs.
Lead end-to-end development efforts, including solution design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and monitoring for complex features.
Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and operability through thoughtful design and observability.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and other partner teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and drive alignment.
Mentor and coach engineers by sharing best practices in software design, coding standards, and operational excellence.
Champion modern engineering practices (automation, CI/CD, testability) and contribute to technical standards that improve quality.
