Job summary

Zillow Group is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the Post-Connect backend and mentor engineers across multiple teams. You will define technical strategy, design high-throughput APIs, and guide architecture in a cloud-native environment.

You will collaborate with product, data science, and ML partners to translate goals into roadmaps, improve reliability, security, and performance, and drive impactful, data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading large-scale, highly available services in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term technical strategy and architecture for backend platforms.
• Lead design and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency APIs and data pipelines.
• Mentor senior engineers and tech leads across multiple teams.
