Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Sr. Backend Developer (Java/Spring) to design, build, secure, and maintain enterprise Java services, APIs, and data-driven processing platforms for transfer agency and fixed income workflows.
You will collaborate with architects, QA, DevSecOps, and security teams to deliver reliable backend capabilities. The role involves secure authentication, regulatory auditability, and high-volume processing across batch and real-time workflows, with a remote work option for qualified
Qualifications
- Eight or more years of enterprise backend development experience.
- Strong expertise with Java 17 or later, Spring Boot, Spring Security, OAuth2, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, Hibernate, and stored procedures.
- Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub or Bitbucket, Swagger/OpenAPI, Azure-based deployment patterns, unit testing, and API testing.
- Proficiency with JasperReports, Quartz, SOAP, Apache CXF, JMeter, Dynatrace, Log4j, and secure SDLC practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop Java and Spring-based services supporting transfer registration, shareholder and account records, fixed income events, income and principal processing, corporate action workflows, reporting, and reconciliation support.
