Job summary

Phantom is seeking a core member of the Data Platform team to design, build, and optimize our streaming blockchain data platform. You will enable high-quality, real-time on-chain data for internal product engineering teams, supporting ingestion, transformation, and delivery of token, price, and spam data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend experience in large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data engineering solutions.
• Proficient in Go, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, Kafka, Redis and PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks with observability and monitoring.
• Web3/crypto knowledge or familiarity with on-chain data preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and in a lean team.

Responsibilities

• ETL & Data Pipeline Design: Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines sourcing and transforming on-chain data.
• Data Quality & Observability: Implement data quality frameworks and observability to ensure freshness and reliability across pipelines.
• Architect for Scalability & Performance: Build fault-tolerant systems handling millions of requests per day for internal data access.
• Data Modeling & Schema Design: Create efficient data models and schemas supporting analytics needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into backend solutions.
• Team building: Foster a culture of raising the bar with each new hire.
