Job summary

Phantom is seeking a backend engineer to build and scale data-intensive systems across multi-chain environments. You will design robust data models, implement ETL pipelines, and ensure data quality and observability while delivering low-latency services that power millions of requests daily.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable backend solutions and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture through mentorship

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Deep experience with modern ETL pipelines and data engineering in high-growth environments.
• Proficiency with Go, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, Kafka, Redis, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience implementing data quality, observability, and monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with Web3, on-chain data, or decentralized application patterns is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines using a modern data stack.
• Implement data quality frameworks and observability solutions to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Architect high-availability, low-latency systems capable of handling millions of requests per day.
• Design and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into backend solutions.
• Foster a high-performance engineering culture through team building.
