Job summary

Gremlin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance Chaos Engineering tooling and reliability capabilities across our platform. You will work with product managers and engineers to design, implement, and ship features that improve system resilience for customers ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

You will mentor teammates, thrive in a remote collaboration culture, and influence architectural decisions. A strong emphasis on tests, automation, and scalable design drives the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java software engineering experience.
• Experience in Go and systems-level programming.
• Cloud technologies including AWS, Lambda, Serverless; Google/Oracle experience considered.
• Experience in DynamoDB and/or NoSQL databases, or major relational databases.
• Experience in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and infrastructure/system-level tech.
• Strong background in architecting distributed systems and integrating with external systems.
• Advocate and practice of automated testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Chaos Engineering tooling in collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Deliver features within a remote culture through effective collaboration and communication.
• Mentor and grow teammates while maintaining a strong customer focus.
• Partner with product and other units to articulate problems and provide practical technical solutions.
