Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Chaos Engineer to join our global, 100% remote team. You will design and run controlled chaos experiments to uncover weaknesses before they impact users, improving system reliability across distributed services.

The role requires strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and chaos tooling, plus excellent English. You will collaborate with SREs and developers worldwide, delivering resilient software and proactive resilience culture.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Chaos Engineering.
Proven expertise in designing and conducting chaos experiments and fault injection.
Proficiency with chaos engineering tools such as Chaos Monkey, Gremlin, or Litmus.

Responsibilities

Design and implement automated chaos experiments using tools like Chaos Monkey, Gremlin, or Litmus.
Conduct fault injection tests to validate recovery, failover mechanisms, and error handling.
Collaborate with SRE and development teams to analyze experiment results and prioritize resilience improvements.
Develop and maintain a chaos engineering framework to standardize testing across various platforms and services.
Define and monitor key reliability metrics to measure the effectiveness of resilience efforts.
Foster a culture of reliability by educating engineering teams on chaos principles and best practices.
