Job summary

Gremlin is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build reliable Chaos Engineering tooling and distributed systems. You will work with a small team to design and implement scalable services, focusing on performance, reliability, and quality.

You'll collaborate with product and operations teams, mentor teammates, and contribute to a strong reliability culture. This is a remote role with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional Java software engineering experience.
• Experience in Go & Systems Level Programming.
• Experience in cloud technologies: AWS, Lambda, Serverless; other cloud platforms considered.
• Experience in DynamoDB and/or other no-sql DB or any major relational databases.
• Experience in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Experience in architecting complex distributed systems and integrating with external systems.
• Strong advocate and practitioner of automated testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and build Chaos Engineering tooling.
• Leverage collaboration and communication skills to deliver features within a remote culture.
• Partner with product and other units to understand problems and present technical solutions.
• Actively mentor and grow teammates.
