Job summary

WEX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the NAM Mobility Platform team. You will design and build scalable backend services, REST/gRPC APIs, and AI-enabled tooling to support fleet-focused credit issuance and spend controls.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing internet-scale services with reliability and security.
• Proficiency in backend development with Java or C#, SpringBoot, RESTful APIs, ODATA, SQL.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services.
• Develop public REST APIs and internal gRPC APIs for inter-service communication.
• Lead design decisions and mentor junior engineers.
• Write tests and drive automation for testing, monitoring, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to implement new features.
• Provide live-site support and drive cross-team projects as a tech lead.
