Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Solutions Architect to design and operate large-scale backend services in a fully remote role across the United States. The position emphasizes scalable architectures, reliability, and high-throughput systems with modern observability practices.

You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with SRE and platform teams to reduce operational toil while shaping multi-year roadmaps and ensuring alignment with engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Six+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Scala, or similar.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts including consensus, replication, and CAP trade-offs.
• Experience with high-throughput messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data stores.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems using Java, Go, Scala, or similar languages.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability and idempotency.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and cost using profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and trade-off analyses.
• Mentor engineers and drive reliability improvements with SRE teams.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and runbooks for operations.
