Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform Core Automation team. You’ll own the design and delivery of LLM-powered automation systems that handle customer support and compliance tasks, reducing resolution times and costs while increasing accuracy across millions of interactions.

You’ll build scalable backend services in Python and Golang, create model integration pipelines, and establish guardrails and grounding mechanisms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production services.
• Hands-on work with LLM-based AI systems in production.
• Strong backend coding in Python and Go, with microservices experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and integrating external data sources.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of agentic AI systems for customer support and compliance automation.
• Build scalable backend infrastructure in Python and Golang for AI workloads.
• Drive end-to-end AI initiatives with attention to latency, accuracy, and cost.
• Collaborate with CX, Compliance, and product teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations.
