Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Core Automation team to build AI-driven customer support and compliance automation. You will own design and delivery of LLM-powered systems and integration pipelines that reduce resolution times and costs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software engineering with production services and microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications or AI/ML systems in production.
Proficiency in Python and Golang; experience with model integration into production workflows.
Track record delivering end-to-end projects with measurable business impact.
Experience building data pipelines or working with large-scale unstructured data sources.

Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of agentic AI systems powering Coinbase's customer support and compliance automation.
Build scalable backend infrastructure in Python and Golang serving AI workloads and model integration pipelines.
Drive end-to-end execution of complex AI initiatives balancing latency, accuracy, cost, and reliability.
Collaborate with Customer Experience, Compliance, and product engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations and incident responses.
