Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform Core Automation team. You will design and deploy AI-powered automation that handles customer support and compliance tasks end-to-end, grounded in robust, production-grade systems.

You will build scalable backends in Python and Go, implement model integration pipelines, and ensure reliability across millions of interactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in production services with microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based AI systems in production, incl. prompt engineering and RAG.
• Proficiency in Python and Go, with APIs integration into production workflows.
• Track record delivering end-to-end projects with measurable business impact.
• Experience with data pipelines and large-scale unstructured data sources.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of agentic AI systems powering customer support and compliance automation.
• Build secure backend infrastructure in Python and Golang for AI workloads and model integration pipelines.
• Drive end-to-end project execution, balancing latency, accuracy, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with CX, Compliance, and product teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations.
