Job summary

AnaVation LLC is seeking a senior Azure Engineer with an active Secret clearance to design, build, and maintain our Azure cloud infrastructure. This role is fully remote with occasional travel to Washington DC and involves leading complex cloud projects for a U.S.

Federal Government client. You will implement IaC with Terraform/Bicep/ARM, develop automated deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), enforce security baselines, and mentor junior cloud engineers while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Active Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Advanced experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployment workflows.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, security, compute, storage, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Scripting with PowerShell or Python; Azure AD RBAC and security baselines knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Architect and implement automated deployment pipelines with CI/CD.
• Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Lead complex cloud infrastructure projects with emphasis on automation and cost optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and document architectures and processes.
• Stay current with Azure platform evolutions and advocate best practices.
