Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a senior Azure Engineer with an active Secret clearance to join a Federal-ready program. This full-time, remote-friendly role involves designing and managing Azure infrastructure, building automated pipelines, and enforcing security and governance standards.

The candidate will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay current with Azure advancements, with occasional travel to Washington, DC as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Active US Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Advanced experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and automated deployment workflows.
• Deep understanding of Azure services across networking, security, compute, storage, and containers (AKS).
• Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Experience implementing cloud governance frameworks, identity architectures (Azure AD), RBAC, policies, and security baselines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze complex distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with diverse technical teams.

Responsibilities

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a senior-level Azure Engineer with an active Secret clearance. This a newly-awarded contract, sothe selected candidate must be a self-starter who is eager to quickly integrate with a high-performing team responsiblefor accrediting and implementing a new digital evidence platform for our Federal Government client. This is a full-timeposition that can be performed remotely with occasional travel to Washington DC as needed.

What you will be doing

• Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure leveraging IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARMtemplates.
• Architect and implement automated deployment pipelines integrating IaC frameworks with CI/CD platforms(Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards across Azure environments.
• Lead high‑complexity cloud infrastructure projects, driving best practices in automation, monitoring, resilience,and cost optimization.

• Maintain documentation for deployments, architectures, patterns, and operational processes.
• Stay current on Azure platform advancements and advocate for tools or practices that enhance reliability, performance, or engineering efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

$85,678.38 - $200,993.63 a year

Please note: The listed salary range reflects our market-based compensation structure. Final compensation will depend on business needs, local market conditions, internal equity, and the selected candidate’s skills, education, and experience.
